One Piece Episode #51[1] |
Eccoli (エッコリ, Ekkori, Broccoli in the FUNimation dub) is an anime-only character who appeared in Loguetown.[1]
Appearance[]
Eccoli is a large, pale man with long black and yellow hair, along with a dark, triangular goatee and stubble. He also has large eyelashes on his lower eyelid. Eccoli wears a blue jacket over striped orange turtleneck. He also has a large broccoli stalk protruding from the top of his head. A knife and fork are sticking out of the broccoli and are held there with a blue band.[1]
Personality[]
Eccoli seems quite cocky about his cooking abilities, as he was seen with a large smirk on his face and was shaking his fist in the air to rally the crowd before going up against Shutai. After his first round victory, he seems greatly pleased with himself.[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
He is believed to be a skilled chef, since he is competing in the Loguetown cooking contest for the title of "Greatest Chef in the East Blue" and was able to defeat Shutai.[1]
History[]
Loguetown Arc[]
Eccoli was a chef who competed in the Loguetown cooking competition to win the Blue-Finned Elephant Tuna. In the first round, he faced Shutai and won. However, he was beaten in the second round by Sanji, who ended up winning the entire competition and the prize.[1]
Major Battles[]
Trivia[]
- His Japanese name also sounds like E. coli, a bacteria strain that is commonly found in the lower intestines.
